Minimum requirements
Your company can start a company-paid scheme with just one person. "One-Man" corporate schemes are particularly cost effective for sole traders. The only requirement is that you must pay the premium through a business bank account.

Taxation
Premiums paid by a company are a qualifying business expense for corporation tax purposes. However, the cost of the premium provided at the company's expense is assessed as a benefit in kind on all employees whose earnings and expenses exceed £8,500 per annum and on all directors.
