Individual / Family Critical Illness Protection

What is Critical Illness Protection?
Critical Illness Protection is designed to pay you the benefit while you are still alive. Sometimes referred to as "Living Assurance", it pays a capital sum or a tax-free monthly income on diagnosis of a defined Critical Illness, usually with the proviso that, following diagnosis, the individual survives for at least 21 days.

Typical Critical Illnesses are:
- Cancer
- Stroke
- Heart-attack
- Loss of sight, hearing or speech

What are the Risks?
1 in 4 healthy men between the ages of 20 and 40 years of age will contract a critical illness before the age of 65.For women the figure is 1 in every 5. Thankfully as a result of advances in medical technology, people these days survive longer, which is when the benefit of Critical Illness Protection is appreciated. A large capital sum will never compensate for a long-term critical illness or disability - however, it will help to relieve some of the financial pressures at a time when we are least able to cope.

This excellent form of protection is suited to both individuals and families.
